Planner Friday - January

So how is the first month of the year treating you?  I have to admit January is probably my least favourite month but I wanted to start this new year on a positive note so I decided to look for the good and concentrate on things that make me happy.  I wanted to create a spread in my travellers notebook to highlight some things that I enjoy about January so I dug out my Annie's Paper Boutique stamps and got to work!

My January spread

The start of a new year always makes me feel like I have been given a blank slate, the past is over and done with and I have a whole new year full of possibilities to look forward too!  The Choose Happy set sums up this feeling perfectly so I used a couple of these stamps to remind me to keep trying to achieve my goals and to make each day a little better than the one before.

I added a  mini calendar to the spread to keep track of whether I reached my move goal each day (so far so good!) and I am using the little tick stamp from the Check It Off set to mark off the days I complete my goal.

Products used: Choose happy stamps

Goals and memories

On the second page I used a cute snowflake stamp from the How's the weather? set because I love snow days when you can stay at home in the warm or go out and play if you are feeling brave!  I also used a coffee stamp from the Drinks & more set because there's nothing better than a nice hot drink to warm you on a cold day.

The journaling card is there for me to record my favourite memories of the month and the last part of my spread is my goals for the year.  I used three stamps from the Title It set for my personal, financial and family goals and now they are committed to paper I think I will be more inclined to try and complete them over the course of the year!

If you want to get more organised this year or focus on your goals and happiness why not stop by the store now and check out all the lovely products to help you keep on track with your new year's resolutions?

See you again next month!

Planner Friday - February

Hi!  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I'm here on the Trendy Twine blog for another Planner Friday!  This month I want to show you how I created a bullet journal style layout in my Travellers Notebook using some fun stamps from Annie's Paper Boutique.

I have seen so many bullet journal ideas recently and really wanted to give some of them a go BUT I'm not great when it comes to doing fancy writing and fab little doodles so instead of doing everything with pen and by hand I decided to use my APB stamp sets instead!

Pocket Calendar (currently out of stock)

I wanted to do an overview spread for March including my goals for the month and to help me keep track of any important dates or tasks.  I used the Check It Off set to make these lists and a pocket calendar glued onto my page so I could see the whole month at a glace.  I have left myself a space to record any special memories during the month with a journaling tag and a couple of stamps from the Documenting the Everyday set as well.  To me March is all about those first few days of spring when we finally get a little sunshine but here in the UK there is also just as much chance it will snow or be incredibly wet so I used the How's the Weather stamps for a touch of decoration.  Depending on the weather there are a couple of ways I like to relax and recharge, in the spring sunshine I'm happy with a cup of coffee and some cake and during March showers you'll find me curled up with a good book and a mug of tea, I added this info to my pages using image stamps from the Perfect Pairs and Drinks & More stamp sets.  Then I had fun colouring in everything in with my fineliner pens and colouring pencils!

My monthly bullet journal style layout

Do you fancy creating your own bullet journal style pages?  Why don't you pop over to the store and check out all the lovely planning essentials?

I'll be back next month with more planner inspiration, I hope to see you then!

Planner Friday - November

Hello!  Christmas is exactly one month today so I wanted to share with you the pages I have created using Annie's Paper Boutique stamps to help me tackle the big day!

Christmas planning

On the first page I have used a couple of heart banner stamps from the Check It Off set for my to do list.  This is where I will write down things like buy cards and stamps, write and post cards, order the turkey, buy wrapping paper, ribbon and bows, check Christmas lights (and untangle!) and anything else I need to do the first week of December.

Then I have used the Morning, Day and Night stamps from the Title It set so I can make a note of what I want to and need to do on Christmas Day.  I have also used the Shopping, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Reminders stamps from this set on the second page.

I have left myself a space at the bottom of the page for anything I think I will need to remember.

The second page is dedicated to my shopping list for the food I will need on Christmas Day, it wouldn't be Christmas in our house if I forgot to buy the croissants and jam for breakfast or if there was no cranberry sauce with our turkey!

Because I like to make things pretty I have decorated the pages with washi tapeTrendy Page Dots reinforcements and some cute image stamps from the Drinks & MoreFoodies and Perfect Pairs stamp sets.

Trendy Twine- Gratitude mini envelope book

Hi Everyone!
Kimberly from Kimberly's Crafty Spot here to
share a project using Trendy Twine and APB products.

This month the team will be featuring the Mini Open End Orange envelopes.
For my project, I made a mini envelope gratitude book.

I started the main book by scoring each closed end of the envelopes (4 of them) at 1/2 in. then I adhered those together with a strong adhesive, punched two holes and added some Spiced Pumpkin Trendy Twine to the binding. To decorate the front, I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Thanksgiving stamp set on vellum and the heart from Drinks & More stamp set on kraft in versamark ink and heat set with Gold embossing powder. I layered coordinating card stock colors and die cut them with the Stitched Rounded Rectangles die (Pink and Main).

For each page, I folded the envelope flap back and adhered it open to create a small pocket for the tags. I made a small mat for each envelope page and stamped a small sentiment from several Annie's Paper Boutique stamp sets.

The front of each tag has a gold heat embossed sentiment that I thought would work perfect for the Gratitude part of the journal. These pages can hold a small photo or keepsake.

The other side of each tag is stamped with the images from the Hello Fall stamp set.
I made sure to leave plenty of room for journaling.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope you are inspired.

Planner Friday - May

Can you believe Planner Friday has come around again already?  It feels like I was only just here with you sharing my ideas for pretty and practical planner pages and now I am back again!

My week before the ink

When I decorate my pages I usually leave myself plenty of space for my to do lists, reminders and notes, especially if I am not sure how busy my week is going to be.  If I have any blank spaces left once the week is part way through and I have a better idea of how much room I need, then I fill them in with either stamps, stickers or doodles.

Ink

Tea cups!

My theme for this week was the Mad Hatter's tea party so I used a couple of stamp sets that had cute cups in them for some added decoration.  I liked pairing the smaller cups from the Need Coffee set with the larger ones from the Drinks & More set, they remind me of mismatched tableware which is how I imagine the Hatter's table would have been laid.

All filled in

If you want to get creative with your planner pages then Annie's Paper Boutique has everything you need to get started, why not take a look now and see what takes your fancy?

I will be back next month with a new set of stamps to show you, I hope I'll see you then!

Planner Friday - September

Hello, I'm Amanda from She's Eclectic and I am here to share my ideas for decorating your planner pages with products from Annie's Paper Boutique.  I love a splash of colour and to make things fun as well as practical, it is a great way to help me stay organised!

Planning my week

Supplies used: Weekend Planner Stamp

I like to use washi tape and Trendy Page Dots circle reinforcements to brighten up my diary pages before I start filling them with reminders and my to do lists.  I also use planner stamps to save me time instead of having to write the same things in week after week and I think they look a lot neater than my handwriting.

Brain dump

Sometimes I use note cards to jot down random things I need to remember, having them on a separate piece of paper also makes them easier to see when I first open my planner.  Flamingos have been quite a big trend this year and I love them so when I saw these mini flamingo cards I couldn't wait to use them!  Aren't they cute?

I used a couple of stamps from the Title It set to add the headings Brain Dump and Miscellaneous to the card ready for any notes I needed to make during the week.  I think the set is really useful so I will be showing you more ways I use it next month.

My week now...

Have a great weekend and I will see you again next month!

Planner Friday - February

Hello!  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I am back for the second Planner Friday of the year!  I use my planner to keep me organised but I like to have fun decorating my pages too.

Preparing my week

This week I am using these new Foodies Planner Stamps to add a touch of cuteness to my pages.  I think they are adorable! I have used them to mark special days in the week like taco night (my favourite!), Shrove Tuesday and a family trip to Pizza Hut for a treat.  The set has a nice mix of word and image stamps so they are very versatile!

How my week is looking now

If I have inspired you to have a go at decorating your planner take a look in the store for some fun goodies to get you started!

See you next month!

Planner Friday - January

Hello!  Welcome to the first Planner Friday of the year!  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and once a month I share my ideas for prettying up your planner.

The start of a new year is when a lot of people make a resolution to get more organised and using a diary or planner is the perfect way to start.  I get bored with plain pages in my Filofax so I like to decorate them and make them more fun.  I start with choosing a washi tape and adding a strip of it to the top and bottom of the page and then I use my Trendy Page Dots reinforcements for another pop of colour.  Annies Paper Boutique has a range of planner stamps which I love using as they look so neat and tidy, they also save me from having to write the same reminders over and over each week.  Lastly I add some stickers to complete the look but I make sure I leave enough space just in case I need to write a note or add to my to do lists.

Annie's Paper Boutique products used this week:

Another resolution people make at this time of year is to get more healthy and I am one of them.  I never drink the recommended eight glasses of water a day so I decided I was going to try and change that habit this year.  In the Drinks & More stamp set there is a Hydrate stamp and an Am/Pm one too so I am using these to record my water intake.  If I drink three glasses of water in the morning I check the box and if I drink three in the afternoon I check the pm box.  I'm trying to build it up to eight glasses but for now six will do.

Hydrate and Am/Pm stamps in use

This is how my week is shaping up now, as you can see I also use my diary pages to record how I have been feeling using some journalling stamps.  I like selecting the stamp that best reflects my day and they don't take up much room on the page.  I find it quicker and easier than trying to write about my day!

My week so far

If you have brought yourself a new planner or were given one for Christmas why don't you take a look at the store and see what goodies take your fancy?

I will be back in February with a new post, I hope to see you then!

Planner Friday - December

It's nearly here!  Are you ready?  I am ridiculously excited about Christmas and I've had a lot of fun decorating my planner pages this month with Christmassy themes.  I have been so busy getting things ready, I don't think I would have completed it all if I hadn't written it down to keep me on track!

I was really excited to receive these Drinks & More planner stamps last week.  They are so adorable and they've been on my wish list since they first became available in the store.  I am a huge fan of anything cute/kawaii so these are perfect for me to use in my Filofax!  So far I have only used them for decoration but they are practical too with stamps to remind you to "hydrate", an "am/pm" check box and some fun ones like "hot stuff", "chill out" and "drink up".  I am going to keep playing with this set and show you some more ways you can use them in my upcoming posts next year.

So this is how my week is shaping up now.  I knew I would need quite a bit of space for my to do lists so I used a Journalling Tag to record how I am feeling instead of stamping on my diary pages.  I really like how neat and tidy it looks using the Feeling Happy and Feeling Funny stamp sets!
