Planner Friday - March

Hello!  It is Planner Friday again and I am here to show you how I have been prettying up my planner pages this week.  If you don't already know me, I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and if you do, hi and welcome back!

This week I decided to indulge my little fox obsession and based my theme around it.  As usual I used my At Home planner stamps and the School Days set to help me keep track of the things I needed to do or remember.  Monday was going to be an especially busy day for me so I used a journal tag to to hold the extra info I needed.

How's the weather stamps

I have a new set of stamps to try out in my planner this month too.  I only received them on Tuesday but I had to use them straight away as they are so cute!  I had been counting down the days until March and the beginning of spring this year, all I want is some warm breezes and a bit of sunshine!  The day the stamps arrived was actually the first glorious day of the year so it seemed right to mark the occasion with the smiling sun stamp!  There was a lot of rain here yesterday but we were treated to a gorgeous rainbow in the afternoon so I recorded that too.  I think these stamps are great fun and would be perfect to use in your journal or if you wanted to remember what the weather was like on a special day or occasion.

My week so far

As you can see I punched a couple of holes into the journal tag and added it on to the rings of my planner so I wouldn't loose it.  I also used the Feeling Funny stamps to record how I have been feeling this week.  I like to use a different colour ink when I use the journalling stamps as it helps me keep my to do lists and reminders separate from them.

I do have another new set of stamps to share with you but that will be in my post next month.  They are already listed in the store though so if you can't wait to see them you can check them out now!

See you in April!

Planner Friday - January

Hello!  Welcome to the first Planner Friday of the year!  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and once a month I share my ideas for prettying up your planner.

The start of a new year is when a lot of people make a resolution to get more organised and using a diary or planner is the perfect way to start.  I get bored with plain pages in my Filofax so I like to decorate them and make them more fun.  I start with choosing a washi tape and adding a strip of it to the top and bottom of the page and then I use my Trendy Page Dots reinforcements for another pop of colour.  Annies Paper Boutique has a range of planner stamps which I love using as they look so neat and tidy, they also save me from having to write the same reminders over and over each week.  Lastly I add some stickers to complete the look but I make sure I leave enough space just in case I need to write a note or add to my to do lists.

Another resolution people make at this time of year is to get more healthy and I am one of them.  I never drink the recommended eight glasses of water a day so I decided I was going to try and change that habit this year.  In the Drinks & More stamp set there is a Hydrate stamp and an Am/Pm one too so I am using these to record my water intake.  If I drink three glasses of water in the morning I check the box and if I drink three in the afternoon I check the pm box.  I'm trying to build it up to eight glasses but for now six will do.

This is how my week is shaping up now, as you can see I also use my diary pages to record how I have been feeling using some journalling stamps.  I like selecting the stamp that best reflects my day and they don't take up much room on the page.  I find it quicker and easier than trying to write about my day!

If you have brought yourself a new planner or were given one for Christmas why don't you take a look at the store and see what goodies take your fancy?

I will be back in February with a new post, I hope to see you then!

Planner Friday - August

It is August already, how did that happen?  Next month I will be starting my Christmas planning, now that is a scary thought!  So before I start to hyperventilate lets get on with Planner Friday.

My week so far

I went with a fun owl theme this week, I like how bright and colourful it is.  I was inspired by some cute owl note cards but I will tell you more about them in a minute.  I find cheerful pages make me more likely to look in my planner and keep on top of what I need to do, if I had boring pages I would probably only open up my Filofax once a day and then I'd end up forgetting things.

I started using the Feeling Happy planner stamps last month and I love them!  They are perfect for keeping track of my feelings and are quick and easy to use.  On my daily sections I write down any appointments or events, my to do lists and reminders and I keep track of my blog statistics, that doesn't really leave me much space for anything else.

Details of the day card - recording occasions big & small

Some days something big and memorable will happen, like the first day of school, but sometimes it can be a little moment that you want to remember.  I am using these Details Of The Day cards to record both kinds of events.  They have a line for you to write the date, a list of feelings for you to check off, some options for what the weather was like and a section for you to write what you would like to remember about that day.  I used one this week to record making daisy chain bracelets in the garden with my youngest daughter.  She will be starting nursery school next month and I'm going to miss her being at home with me during the day.  That is why I want to remember these little moments with her because before I know it she'll be too old to play with me any more!

Owl Note It card

This is the note card that inspired my decoration this week.  My husband is going away with friends for the weekend and I knew I would have to write a packing list.  I think the little blue owl on it is adorable!  You can use these cards for journalling or notes so they are cute and practical.

I hope to see you all again in September, I wasn't joking about starting my Christmas planning then.  In fact I have just ordered some fab Christmas Tree Paper Clips from the store!

Planner Friday - July

Hi! Can you believe it is Planner Friday again already? I can't, the month has flown by!

I explained in my first post how I go about decorating my diary pages and what I put in them, in this post I want to show you my pages for this week and which Annie's Paper Boutique products I have used on them.

How my week started out

Now for an English woman I have a pretty big coffee addiction! I mean I like tea, I really do but sometimes only coffee will make me happy so I dedicated this week to my love of that little bean.

The Feeling Happy Planner Stamp Set, Personalised Journal Tags and coordinating Hello Dottie Trendy Page Dots are all new products and I love them!

I had been thinking recently that my life seems to revolve around my to do lists and it would be nice to spend a little time concentrating on myself. I used to keep a journal when I was a teenager but it's not something I would enjoy doing now.... and I'm slightly worried there wouldn't be anything interesting to write in it anyway! But I would like to spend a little time each day reflecting on how it went and how I felt which is where the Feeling Happy stamp set comes in. The set has stamps saying Today, I'm, Feeling and then a wide range of emotion stamps. I received them last week so I am using them in my planner for the first time this week and I think they are fab! It is like keeping a journal but less time consuming and easier too.

At Home Planner stamps and
Personalised Journal Tags in use.

I have used the Personalised Journal Tag as a note card this week and punched holes in it so it can go on my rings.  I just adore the sweet teacup drawing on it and how it goes with the Trendy Page Dots perfectly.  I'm a sucker for things that match!

This Love My Cup of Joe Coffee Clip also looks adorable with the theme!

My nearly finished week

So that's it for another month, I will see you again in August! In the mean time why don't you stop by the store and check out the planning supplies, I would love to know if you get creative with your planner pages too! Oh and did you spot the cute owl paper clip from Kawaii Paperie in the back of my planner?
