Trendy Bakers Twine~School Tags

Hello all! Beth from Beth's Beauties here with another school themed post. This time I created journaling tags for future first day of school scrapbook layouts. They feature In The Navy Trendy Twine and Chunky Tag-Its from Annie's Paper Boutique.
I started with a Sky Chunky Tag-It and stamped the notebook page stamp from the APB Get It Done stamp set using SB.com Postal Blue ink. Isn't it awesome how perfectly that stamp fits on the Chunky Tag-Its?! As a title for the tag, I used the "First day of school" sentiment from the APB School Days stamp set stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I decided I wanted to add a little more stamping to the tag, so I used other stamps from the APB Get It Done stamp set using more VersaFine Clair Nocturne and Tulip Red ink.
I repeated the process with another Sky Chunky Tag-It as well as on a Kraft Chunky Tag-It. To embellish the tags, I used my precision glue press to adhere a line of In The Navy Trendy Twine towards the top of the notebook page stamp. I also used multiple strands of In The Navy Trendy Twine looped through the top of the tag. To add a bit more visual interest, I glued Blue Berry Sequins in the bottom right corner.

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

If you don't need a whole spool of In The Navy, check out the

Planner Friday - March

Hello!  It's Planner Friday again on the Trendy Twine blog and I am here to share some ideas for prettying up your planner pages.  I love starting off the week with a blank page and then creating something really fun that also keeps me organised!

Products used:

There are a few different ways to decorate your pages, some people like to cover them in washi tape and stickers before they add their plans, some people draw or paint the most beautiful images and others like to decorate as they go along.  It is all down to personal preference and whatever works best for you.

I have found that using stamps in my planner saves me a lot of time and they make everything look nice and neat.  I like to get my to do lists and reminders down onto the page and then I decorate around them with cute image stamps and stickers.  Creating an attractive spread makes me more likely to open up my organiser and check my plans each day which in turn helps me keep on top of everything.

My week

Do you ever decorate your pages?  I would love to know if you do or if you feel inspired to give it a go!  Don't forget to check out all the planner goodies in the store and I will be back again next month, I hope to see you then!

Planner Friday - December

It's here, it's finally December and I can let all my festive spirit out!  I absolutely love this time of year and I reflect that in my planner pages.  I have a million and one things to do in preparation of the big day but I don't feel stressed because I have a to do list (or three!) to help me stay on track!

The Check It Off Planner Stamp Set is perfect for creating your own to do lists.  As well as my regular weekly to do items which I list on my diary pages I also use this set to make larger lists and plans.  I like that there is an assortment of different style check it boxes instead of just being circles or squares, I think the hearts and star stamps are really fun but still practical!  I love the satisfied feeling I get when I tick something off my list and know that I have one less thing to complete or remember!

There are also some different banner stamps in the set which I like to use for highlighting important dates or reminders on my pages, they can be used as decorative stamps too.

My week so far

This is my first Christmas themed week in my planner, I went with traditional colours and added some glitter too because if ever there was a season for a bit of sparkle it is this one!

If you need to get on top of your festive planning then stop by the store now and treat your self to some supplies!

I'll be back in January so I will wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year now and I hope to see you again in 2016!

Planner Friday - November

Hello!  Welcome to another Planner Friday where I share my ideas for prettying up your planner pages.  I love to get creative with my weekly layout and make staying organised a bit more fun.  This week I got to play with a brand new set of cute Fall/Autumn themed stamps that I have had my eye on for a little while!

Washi Tape
Ink

The Hello Fall stamp set contains four image stamps, an acorn, two kinds of leaves and a pumpkin all with sweet little smiling faces.  The set also has eleven words and sayings stamps like Give Thanks, Hello, Fall, Autumn and Blessed written in a lovely script font.  I used all of the images to decorate my pages this week and coloured them in with browns and oranges, my favourite Autumn colour combination!  I think they look really pretty!

My week so far

I used a banner style stamp from the Check It Off Planner Stamp Set to highlight today's date, not only is today Planner Friday it is also my son's birthday so a very special date in my diary!  I am going to go and grab myself a piece of birthday cake and a coffee, why don't you find yourself a nice treat and go and browse the store for some fun planner goodies?  It might take your mind off the fact today is Friday 13th!

See you again next month!

Planner Friday - October

Hello!  I seriously can't believe that it is October already, it is like the year sped up once we hit September!  Anyway I have a jam packed post for you today so lets get started.  First off I want to show you my pages for this week, October tends to be wet and grey here in the UK so I wanted to do a theme that reflected that but I also wanted to inject a bit of colour too to brighten my day.

Planning my week

I used the weather stamps for decoration and lightly coloured the clouds and rain drops in.  I love how cute they look with their little smiley faces!  As usual I used the At Home and School Days sets to stamp in my reminders and to do lists and the Check It Off set for my check boxes and highlighting important dates like today.

Making my own inserts

I also wanted to show you some inserts I have made using the Title It Planner Stamp Set and some washi tape.  This set has a large range of stamps that you can use for meal planning, diet tracking, thoughts, notes, schedules, finances and lots more!  You could use this set to make your own planner in a cute notebook or to personalise your current planner with sections that would work well for you.  They are really versatile!

Halloween!

As it is October I have been getting very excited for Halloween so I wanted to give you a little peek at my pages for that week.  I used the Spooktacular Halloween Set of Trendy Page Dot reinforcements, aren't they fun?  Halloween is one of my favourite holidays and it falls during a school holiday so I get to spend lots of time at home with my three monsters watching Scooby Doo and eating sweets!

 week so far

So this is how my week is shaping up, the cheerful inks and washi tapes have gotten me through days full of dark skies and pouring rain, I am starting to wish I owned a pair of wellies too!

If you fancy getting creative with your planner pop over to the store and check out all the goodies available and I will see you again next month for another Planner Friday!

Planner Friday - September

Hello, I'm Amanda from She's Eclectic and I am here to share my ideas for decorating your planner pages with products from Annie's Paper Boutique.  I love a splash of colour and to make things fun as well as practical, it is a great way to help me stay organised!

Planning my week

Supplies used: Weekend Planner Stamp

I like to use washi tape and Trendy Page Dots circle reinforcements to brighten up my diary pages before I start filling them with reminders and my to do lists.  I also use planner stamps to save me time instead of having to write the same things in week after week and I think they look a lot neater than my handwriting.

Brain dump

Sometimes I use note cards to jot down random things I need to remember, having them on a separate piece of paper also makes them easier to see when I first open my planner.  Flamingos have been quite a big trend this year and I love them so when I saw these mini flamingo cards I couldn't wait to use them!  Aren't they cute?

I used a couple of stamps from the Title It set to add the headings Brain Dump and Miscellaneous to the card ready for any notes I needed to make during the week.  I think the set is really useful so I will be showing you more ways I use it next month.

My week now...

Have a great weekend and I will see you again next month!

Planner Friday - July

Hi!  I'm Amanda from She's Eclectic and I am here for another Planner Friday, where I share with you how I decorate my planner pages to help keep me organised.

I find the best way to keep on top of everything I need to do and remember is to check my planner throughout the day and having fun pages means I am more likely to open it up and take a peek.

Supplies used this week: Trendy Page Dots Circle Reinforcements

I decided to do something different with my layout this week, I used the lined Check It Off stamp for a change.  I have seen a lot of people use this one in their Erin Condren planners and I liked how it looked.  It is very handy for people like me who end up writing on a slant if they use unlined paper!

My extra to do list

This week I had a lot of things going on at my children's school.  Here in the UK the summer holiday doesn't start until the middle of July and I find the school tends to squeeze all the events into the final two weeks.  Thursday was an especially busy day as I had to attend two sport events (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) and then three parents evening appointments during and after school.  I didn't have enough room to make a note of all of the times on my planner page so I used a To Do Journalling Tag to record all the extra info. I just made a note on my page to remind me to check the list that day.  I also used an ice cream stamp from the Foodies Set just because it is so cute and it went with my summer theme.

My week so far

If you are feeling creative why not stop by the store and see what takes you fancy?

I will see you again next month for more planner fun!

Planner Friday - June

Hello!  Planner Friday is officially one year old so I wanted to do a special theme for my pages to celebrate.  I decided gold and black was the way to go, it puts me in the mind of a classy cocktail party and I think it looks quite sophisticated.

Supplies used this week: Trendy Page Dots Circle Reinforcements

I received the newest set of stamps from Annies Paper Boutique this month.  It is called the Get It Done set and it has some great stamps in it to help you get organised!  You can see all of the stamps in the set in the photo above but my favourite one is the post it note image.  It has been designed to fit 3x3 inch post it notes or you could just use it to stamp onto notepaper as a way of highlighting your reminder or notes.  There is also a selection of stamps that fit in the top box of the post it note so you can pick the one that works best for you.  You can choose from ten different ones, from Goals and Shop to Urgent and This Week.

Get it done stamps in action

I used the Don't Forget stamp for my list of things I needed to pack and sort out for my daughter's trip to London yesterday.  I stuck the post it note on my page marker so I could see it every time I opened my planner.  I think it looks so much nicer than if I had written on a plain post it and it makes it stand out more so my eye was drawn to it straight away reminding me to get it done.

My week filled in

I hope you have enjoyed this Planner Friday!  I will be back with some more ideas for you next month, in the mean time why don't you stop by the store and see if anything takes your fancy?

Planner Friday - May

Hello!  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and today is Planner Friday!  Every month I show you how I use products from Annie's Paper Boutique to help me stay organised but to also have some fun whilst doing it.

Planning my week

This week I was feeling very pink and girly and I wanted to smile every time I opened my planner so I just went over the top with this Hello Kitty theme.

My favourite thing about using a planner is it means I don't have to remember everything, once it is down on paper all I have to do is check to see what is going on and what I have to do.  I tranfer over a lot of reminders weekly so I love using the At Home and School Days stamp sets for this.  It is so much easier to stamp them instead of having to write them all in by hand each time.  It saves me a lot of time and they look so much neater than my handwriting!

Carrying on with the girly theme I coloured in the hearts
instead of checking them off this week
once my tasks were complete!

Have you seen these new pretty, pastel, Planner Pencils yet?  Aren't they adorable?  I have a couple on their way to me and I can't wait for them to arrive!  I always keep a pencil near me as I like to write any future appointments in my planner in pencil first, just in case they get moved around or cancelled.  I change them into ink once I am sure they are happening.

Well thank you for joining me today, I hope to see you again in June for another Planner Friday and my first anniversary on the design team!
