Planner Friday - September

Amanda here from She's Eclectic for Planner Friday. Hands up, who is excited for October and Halloween!  I am!  This month I am setting up a couple of journalling pages in my travellers notebook to record all the spooky fun we are going to have over the next few weeks.

Used but not pictured: Clear stamp block

October is one of my favourite months, the schools break up for a week, there's a ton of horror films on the TV and well, there's a lot of fun candy and treats to eat!  I started off by adding some washi tape to my pages and then glued in a mini calendar and mini index card so I can document anything I want to remember.  I also wanted to create some space on the other page for memories and a photo of us all dressed up for Halloween so I used some stamps from the Documenting The Everyday set.

Sweetie stamp from the Foodies set

Then it was time to break out my Happy HalloweenFoodies and Hello Fall stamp sets to add some decoration!

Space for stories and a photo

Eat drink and be scary - my perfect October!

Ready to record my month

The last step was to colour in all the images I had stamped, I used fineliners to make them look super vibrant and now I am ready to start recording the month on Monday.

If you love October and Halloween then the Happy Halloween stamp set is currently on sale, head over to the store now and take a peek at all the goodies!

Planner Friday - February

I know it is only the end of February but I am already daydreaming of spring!  I can't wait to see flowers blooming and feel the sunlight warming my skin again, winter feels like it has lasted at least six months!  With this feeling in mind I have swapped planners into a white binder and I am filling it with lots of florals and fresh colours to keep me going until spring actually does arrive.

Journalling cards & paperclips

I have added some journalling cards and a few of my favourite paper clips into the pockets of my planner and they make me smile each time I open it up!  The positive quotes on the journalling cards are going to help me through the last days of winter and they are nice and handy if I want to document anything on them in the meantime.

I continued the spring theme onto my planner pages this week using lots of lovely Annie's Paper Boutique products.

I am really happy with how they turned out!  I love how clean and tidy they look because of the APB stamps and I matched my ink colours to the washi tape and Trendy Page Dot reinforcements just to pull it all together.

My spring themed spread

I used the At HomeMore At Home and Check It Off sets for my daily to do lists and reminders and the Weekend stamp for some extra decoration.  All of the positive little quotes come from the Choose Happy stamp set and they are fantastic for brightening your day!  I think they are one of my all time favourite sets, they're just so happy and cheerful!

If my pretty spring planner has inspired you to get organised then stop by the store now to pick out some supplies and I will see you again next month!

Planner Friday - August

Okay, I know it is still August but I always plan ahead so in my mind we're already part way through September.  I'm sorry if you are trying to squeeze out the last few days of summer because I am totally ready for autumn!  Cooler days, warm drinks, sweaters and boots, bring it on!  I wanted to record my joy for the impending season so I have broken out my APB stamps and Travellers Notebook.

I think spring and autumn are my favourite seasons because they are the ones you can easily see nature changing around you.  As much as I love to see the first shoots of green in spring, spotting the leaves changing colours and feeling a little chill in the air always makes me so happy!

If you feel the same way then Hello Fall is the perfect stamp set for you (and if you're quick you can grab them while they are on sale!).  I had so much fun creating this spread and colouring in the cute fall images.  There is also a Thankful stamp in the set so I decided to write a list of what I am thankful for.  I've never tried a pumpkin spiced latte but I am addicted to black cherry hot chocolate, there's nothing nicer than your favourite hot drink on a cold day so I used the takeaway coffee stamp from the Drinks & More set to represent this.  I also love spending time with my family and friends in autumn when the weather is cooler but you can still enjoy being outdoors, I used a few of the Documenting The Everyday #2 stamps for this.

My September spread -  Hello fall!

So, are you ready for autumn or are you desperate to spend some more time in the sun, eating ice creams and having water fights?

Don't forget to stop by the store and check out the supplies if you want to record the last days of your summer or celebrate the start of autumn!

See you again next month!

Planner Friday - June

Yes!  It's finally summer!  I feel like I have been waiting forever for it to arrive!  I was so excited for the beginning of the season I dedicated a whole page to it in my journal this week!

I  wrote myself a list of things I like to do in the summer on a cute tag and popped it in my journal along with some strips of washi tape to brighten things up.  I used the lined stamp from the Check it off set to give me a couple of spaces for some summer quotes and I added a mini calendar card for an overview of July.

I used some of the image stamps from the FoodiesDrinks & more and Perfect pairs sets to show things I enjoy during warm summer days like adding ice cream to desserts, a cold glass of wine and iced drinks with a straw.  I also made the quote "Lazy days are the best days ever" using a couple of stamps from the Feeling funny and Documenting the everyday sets and writing in the rest myself.

Lastly I saved a space on the page to added a photo of us all having fun in the sun with another of the Documenting the everyday stamps and there are still some blank spaces left for me to write a few memories of July down later on too.

Planner Friday - February

Hi!  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I'm here on the Trendy Twine blog for another Planner Friday!  This month I want to show you how I created a bullet journal style layout in my Travellers Notebook using some fun stamps from Annie's Paper Boutique.

I have seen so many bullet journal ideas recently and really wanted to give some of them a go BUT I'm not great when it comes to doing fancy writing and fab little doodles so instead of doing everything with pen and by hand I decided to use my APB stamp sets instead!

Pocket Calendar (currently out of stock)

I wanted to do an overview spread for March including my goals for the month and to help me keep track of any important dates or tasks.  I used the Check It Off set to make these lists and a pocket calendar glued onto my page so I could see the whole month at a glace.  I have left myself a space to record any special memories during the month with a journaling tag and a couple of stamps from the Documenting the Everyday set as well.  To me March is all about those first few days of spring when we finally get a little sunshine but here in the UK there is also just as much chance it will snow or be incredibly wet so I used the How's the Weather stamps for a touch of decoration.  Depending on the weather there are a couple of ways I like to relax and recharge, in the spring sunshine I'm happy with a cup of coffee and some cake and during March showers you'll find me curled up with a good book and a mug of tea, I added this info to my pages using image stamps from the Perfect Pairs and Drinks & More stamp sets.  Then I had fun colouring in everything in with my fineliner pens and colouring pencils!

My monthly bullet journal style layout

Do you fancy creating your own bullet journal style pages?  Why don't you pop over to the store and check out all the lovely planning essentials?

I'll be back next month with more planner inspiration, I hope to see you then!

Planner Friday - December

I'm so excited, can you believe there are only two days left until Christmas?  I'm on the blog today to share with you the planner pages I created using some fun festive stamps from Annie's Paper Boutique!

My Christmas week

Being Christmas week I don't have a lot of appointments or commitments to write down so I had some extra space to play with when I started decorating the pages.  I used three sets of Christmas stamps to add some pretty reminders and these will also be great for when I document our holiday in my journal.

Products used:
Used but not pictured:

I absolutely love the New Christmas PJs stamp I have used on the 24th December as that is a tradition my mum started with me when I was little and I have carried it on with my children now too.  The Waiting for Santa stamp is a lot of fun as well, every Christmas Eve I take a photo of my three sitting on the sofa dressed in their new pyjamas and full of excitement and then we put our coats on, go outside and search the skies for signs of Santa's sleigh!

Naughty & Nice!

Pairing the But, Santa! journaling tag with the I've been Naughty & Nice! stamp made me giggle so I added a couple of strips of washi tape, punched some holes and turned it into a cute page marker.

So that's my last post for 2016! If you want to pretty up your planner in 2017 pop over to the store and take a look at all the lovely planning supplies and stamps, you should find everything you need to get you started.

I wish you happy holidays and hope to see you again next year!

Planner Friday - Documenting the Everyday stamp sets

Hello!  I am back today to share with you a couple of new stamp sets from Annie's Paper Boutique.  The Documenting the Everyday sets are perfect for journaling, I used them recently to record my holiday memories and I want to show you how some of those pages turned out.

Products:

I love the look of combining different fonts together to make my writing more interesting but to be honest the only two I can do properly are print and cursive!  That is why I love these stamp sets, they have so many fun fonts and doodles and using them really makes my pages come alive!

Pages in my Travellers Notebook

I used the quote stamps as headings and added little notes about our week away, I also used the arrow stamps when I had more than one memory to record.  I think it looks a lot more interesting than if I had just written everything down without them.

More memories

My favourite day of the holiday was spending time at Woolacombe beach, it really is beautiful there.  I used the stamps to document this day too and one of the camera paper clips to mark the page so I can easily see which ones have photos on.

Do you journal?  APB has lots of fun supplies to help you document your life, why don't you stop by and take a look?

See you again next month!

Planner Friday - August

Hello!  I thought I would do something a little different for Planner Friday today and show you my "everyday carry" planning supplies.

I keep a pen in the loop of my planner but I like to have a few more products with me when I am on the go.  I keep them in a little travel pouch which holds lots of goodies but doesn't take up too much room in my bag.

Annie's Paper Boutique products:

Pens, paper clips & pencils

I like to have a few colourful pens with me and some note cards and journal tags to record memories and reminders.

My favourite planning pencils

These are my favourite pencils, I love the planning quotes on them and the pink and mint colours are so pretty!

Note cards, page dots and more cute clips

I also carry a few Trendy Page Dots reinforcements and some fun paper clips to adorn my planner pages.   I am completely obsessed with these new gold clips, I love the To Do and Plan ones as they are pretty and practical and then the Coffee, Camera and Love Letter clips are super sweet!  I tend to use mine as page markers and to highlight important information but they are great for adding a bit of fun decoration to your planner as well.

Has anything here has caught your eye? Then why not pop over to the store and treat yourself?  Go on, you know you deserve it!

Planner Friday - March

Hello!  It is Planner Friday again and I am here to show you how I have been prettying up my planner pages this week.  If you don't already know me, I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and if you do, hi and welcome back!

This week I decided to indulge my little fox obsession and based my theme around it.  As usual I used my At Home planner stamps and the School Days set to help me keep track of the things I needed to do or remember.  Monday was going to be an especially busy day for me so I used a journal tag to to hold the extra info I needed.

Planning my week

Products used: At Home Planner Stamp Set

How's the weather stamps

I have a new set of stamps to try out in my planner this month too.  I only received them on Tuesday but I had to use them straight away as they are so cute!  I had been counting down the days until March and the beginning of spring this year, all I want is some warm breezes and a bit of sunshine!  The day the stamps arrived was actually the first glorious day of the year so it seemed right to mark the occasion with the smiling sun stamp!  There was a lot of rain here yesterday but we were treated to a gorgeous rainbow in the afternoon so I recorded that too.  I think these stamps are great fun and would be perfect to use in your journal or if you wanted to remember what the weather was like on a special day or occasion.

My week so far

As you can see I punched a couple of holes into the journal tag and added it on to the rings of my planner so I wouldn't loose it.  I also used the Feeling Funny stamps to record how I have been feeling this week.  I like to use a different colour ink when I use the journalling stamps as it helps me keep my to do lists and reminders separate from them.

I do have another new set of stamps to share with you but that will be in my post next month.  They are already listed in the store though so if you can't wait to see them you can check them out now!

See you in April!

Planner Friday - December

It's nearly here!  Are you ready?  I am ridiculously excited about Christmas and I've had a lot of fun decorating my planner pages this month with Christmassy themes.  I have been so busy getting things ready, I don't think I would have completed it all if I hadn't written it down to keep me on track!

I was really excited to receive these Drinks & More planner stamps last week.  They are so adorable and they've been on my wish list since they first became available in the store.  I am a huge fan of anything cute/kawaii so these are perfect for me to use in my Filofax!  So far I have only used them for decoration but they are practical too with stamps to remind you to "hydrate", an "am/pm" check box and some fun ones like "hot stuff", "chill out" and "drink up".  I am going to keep playing with this set and show you some more ways you can use them in my upcoming posts next year.

So this is how my week is shaping up now.  I knew I would need quite a bit of space for my to do lists so I used a Journalling Tag to record how I am feeling instead of stamping on my diary pages.  I really like how neat and tidy it looks using the Feeling Happy and Feeling Funny stamp sets!

My week so far

Well that was the last Planner Friday post of 2014!  I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year and I will see you again in January!

Here's the new kit that will be available soon:

It includes: a pen, washi tape, wooden clips, pouch, & tasks lists

Planner Friday - November

Hello, welcome back to another Planner Friday post!  I will be the first to admit I have gone a little overboard with my decoration for this week but it is a week full of birthdays including my own so I wanted it to be fun.  I have just realised that I showed you a cupcake theme last month too, you must think I am cake obsessed!  Don't tell anyone but... it's true!

How my week started out

For such a big week I have used a lot of Annie's Paper Boutique products, I have listed them all below.

Pictured: Trendy Page Dots

I like to use journal tags in my planner so I wanted to show you some of my favourite ones.  I use them to record special events, memories and quotes and for reminders and to do lists.  Because they don't have any holes punched in them you could use them for craft projects too or even as gift tags, they are very versatile!

It's nearly Christmas so I have my Christmas tree clip
in my Filofax now!

How my week looks today

Can you believe there is only one Planner Friday left for this year?  2014 has flown by so fast!  I will be back in December for some Christmas themed fun so I hope to see you then.

There are lots of Christmas goodies in the store, now is the perfect time to stock up before it is suddenly December and things get crazy!

Thanks for stopping by

Planner Friday - September

Hello!  It's Planner Friday again, they always come round so fast!   These are the products I have used for my pages this week.

So the photo above is how my week started out and the one below is how it is shaping up now.  I love using the At Home Planner Stamps, they save me having to write out the same tasks over and over again each week.  It is so much easier just to stamp them on my pages and I like how they look too, so much nicer than my handwriting!

My week so far

I had a few things I needed to do at some point this week so I wrote them down on one of the To Do Journalling Tags.  It has the same red and blue stars on it as the Trendy Page Dot reinforcements so I had to use them both together!  I also added a little Trendy Twine bow to the tag, I think it looks quite sweet.

My to do list

I have been using the Feeling Happy Planner Stamp Set to record my feelings each day for a while now and I just received the latest set of journaling stamps from Annie's Paper Boutique.  They are called the Feeling Funny Stamp Set and you can use them in conjunction with the original stamps or you can use them on their own as both sets contain the "Feeling" stamp.  I especially like the Hungry, Sleepy, Proud and Motivated stamps, they cover how I feel quite often!  I think between the two sets I have a stamp for nearly everything I could be feeling, it is a great selection.

If you read my post last month you might remember I said I was going to start my Christmas planning this month.  So far I'm just thinking of gift ideas and things for our Elf on the Shelf to do during his visit but I am starting to feel a little Christmassy!  I want to show you the cute Christmas tree paper clips I ordered last month and some fun Christmas coloured Trendy Page Dot reinforcements that are available, I can't wait to start using mine in December.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again next month!

Planner Friday - August

It is August already, how did that happen?  Next month I will be starting my Christmas planning, now that is a scary thought!  So before I start to hyperventilate lets get on with Planner Friday.

My week so far

I went with a fun owl theme this week, I like how bright and colourful it is.  I was inspired by some cute owl note cards but I will tell you more about them in a minute.  I find cheerful pages make me more likely to look in my planner and keep on top of what I need to do, if I had boring pages I would probably only open up my Filofax once a day and then I'd end up forgetting things.

Annie's Paper Boutique products pictured:
Used but not pictured:

I started using the Feeling Happy planner stamps last month and I love them!  They are perfect for keeping track of my feelings and are quick and easy to use.  On my daily sections I write down any appointments or events, my to do lists and reminders and I keep track of my blog statistics, that doesn't really leave me much space for anything else.

Details of the day card - recording occasions big & small

Some days something big and memorable will happen, like the first day of school, but sometimes it can be a little moment that you want to remember.  I am using these Details Of The Day cards to record both kinds of events.  They have a line for you to write the date, a list of feelings for you to check off, some options for what the weather was like and a section for you to write what you would like to remember about that day.  I used one this week to record making daisy chain bracelets in the garden with my youngest daughter.  She will be starting nursery school next month and I'm going to miss her being at home with me during the day.  That is why I want to remember these little moments with her because before I know it she'll be too old to play with me any more!

Owl Note It card

This is the note card that inspired my decoration this week.  My husband is going away with friends for the weekend and I knew I would have to write a packing list.  I think the little blue owl on it is adorable!  You can use these cards for journalling or notes so they are cute and practical.

I hope to see you all again in September, I wasn't joking about starting my Christmas planning then.  In fact I have just ordered some fab Christmas Tree Paper Clips from the store!
