Trendy Baker's Twine - Have a FANG-tastic Day!

Hello and welcome, everyone!
Guest Designer, Lisa from The Relativity of Paper.

Today I'm back with a fun way to send our crafty friends a few goodies for Halloween. Of course, this would easily translate to any holiday or celebration.

The Treat Packets make quick work of this project and here's a fun tip: treat packets emboss beautifully! I laid each treat packet flat in an embossing folder and ran it through my BigKick. I die-cut two banners and stamped the sentiment, Have a FANG-tastic Day, from the Happy Halloween Stamp Set using black ink. I cut two bats using my Silhouette, added googly eyes, and just cut white fangs from scrap paper. I added Gray Licorice Trendy Twine to one of the bat's wings. Add a piece of 3D mounting foam to the back of each bat and adhere the die-cut sentiment banner, set aside.

The treat packets come with small clear baggies that are perfect for adding a small candy bar or candy corn. I removed the packaging and staple from the Grape Licorice Batty Sequins and Orange Licorice Batty Sequins. The sequins come in the same small baggie that comes with the treat packets. I added the small paper spool of Trendy Twine in with the coordinating sequins and sealed it back up. Once you have the sequins, trendy twine and candy packaged place the baggies inside the treat packets to align, punch two holes through the treat packets and baggies, making sure to punch the holes above the seal on the baggies. Tie the treat packets closed with Gray Licorice Trendy Twine and adhere the bats with the attached sentiment.

Trendy Baker's Twine -- Spooky Treats

Hello everyone!  I'm Helen from HTB Creations.  This month, we are featuring Gray Licorice Trendy Twine and the Skinny Candy Chutes.  I made these fun treats and also used some bats from one of the Batty Sequin Mixes.

I used some Halloween M&M's to fill my Skinny Candy Chutes.  Then I cut out the tombstone from My Creative Time Dies and used a stamp that goes with them.

I just added a small, cute bow of my Gray Licorice Trendy Twine to the top of the tombstone.  It needed something else so I grabbed one of the Batty Sequin Mixes to pull out some bats.  I love those bat sequins 😍

I love creating in October since I get to use my Halloween goodies to make things with.  Keep checking back for more fun projects all month long!

Trendy Baker's Twine - Hand Over the Candy

Hello and welcome, everyone!

I'm Lisa from The Relativity of Paper.
I'm so excited to be guest designing for the month of October here at
Twine It Up!

This month's featured products are

I'm sharing a sweet treat and card combo.

To create the sweet treat you will need a Skinny Candy Chute, painter's tape or washi tape, inexpensive paint brush, and orange, yellow and white chalk paint.

Using tape, tape off 5 sections to be painted. Starting with orange chalk paint, paint the bottom section completely, paint half of the fourth section with orange, too. Blend yellow chalk paint into orange (fourth section) while the paint is still wet. Paint the third section yellow and half of the second section yellow. Finish off with white chalk paint blending white with yellow in the second section and completely paint the first section white. Let dry. Fill with candy corn.

To create the card I used pattern paper from my stash with coordinating stickers, Gray Licorice Trendy Twine and Annie's Paper Boutique Happy Halloween Stamp Set.

I created the sentiment background paper simply by repeat stamping the sentiment in orange and yellow ink and stamped the "trick or treat" sentiment over it using black ink. All the sentiments are from the Happy Halloween Stamp Set. Set to the side. Mat a 4.25"x5.5" top-fold card with pattern paper, layer the stamped background paper using fun or 3D mounting foam. Using an edge die-cut cut a piece of pattern paper and adhere to the left side of the card. Add stickers using 3D mounting foam, adhere clear sequins and embellish with Gray Licorice Trendy Twine. Stamp Happy Halloween inside the card.

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Halloween Treat Chutes

Hello all and happy Thursday!  Beth from Beth's Beauties sharing the treat bags I made.  This month we are showcasing Gray Licorice Trendy Twine, which is perfect for Halloween, and Skinny Candy Chutes.  I paired the two of those together in these Halloween treats!
I filled the Skinny Candy Chutes with candy corn and embellished with Gray Licorice Trendy Twine wrapped around the chute and attached a Lemon Tag-It.  The Lemon Tag-It comes with one hole punched in it, but I added another one to the opposite side of the tag so I could have both sides secured with the Trendy Twine.  I added Lime Orangesicle Trendy Page Dots around the holes on the tag-it.  The sentiments were stamped from the APB Happy Halloween stamp set and the finishing touch was adding bat sequins from Lime Licorice Batty Sequins.

Happy October!

This month is going to be so much fun. The Trendy Gals have all sorts of cute Halloween themed projects; and we also have a wonderful guest designer lined up for the month. Her first post will be this Friday so be sure to stop by to find out who it is.

The Trendy Twine color of the month is Gray Licorice and it's a festive twist of black and gray.  This twist was originally created with Halloween in mind, but it's perfect enough to use all year long.

Our packaging for this month is the Skinny Candy Chutes. These clear boxes are great for M&Ms, jelly beans, and small gumballs.  They are 8" long so you can even slide a pen or pencil in if you are wanting a non-candy treat.

Here are a few projects by Helen using our clear treat boxes:

How fun are these! Be sure to stop by often to get some crafty Halloween inspiration.

Planner Friday - September

Amanda here from She's Eclectic for Planner Friday. Hands up, who is excited for October and Halloween!  I am!  This month I am setting up a couple of journalling pages in my travellers notebook to record all the spooky fun we are going to have over the next few weeks.

Used but not pictured: Clear stamp block

October is one of my favourite months, the schools break up for a week, there's a ton of horror films on the TV and well, there's a lot of fun candy and treats to eat!  I started off by adding some washi tape to my pages and then glued in a mini calendar and mini index card so I can document anything I want to remember.  I also wanted to create some space on the other page for memories and a photo of us all dressed up for Halloween so I used some stamps from the Documenting The Everyday set.

Sweetie stamp from the Foodies set

Then it was time to break out my Happy HalloweenFoodies and Hello Fall stamp sets to add some decoration!

Space for stories and a photo

Eat drink and be scary - my perfect October!

Ready to record my month

The last step was to colour in all the images I had stamped, I used fineliners to make them look super vibrant and now I am ready to start recording the month on Monday.

If you love October and Halloween then the Happy Halloween stamp set is currently on sale, head over to the store now and take a peek at all the goodies!

Trendy Baker's Twine - Happy Birthday

Hi Trendy Fans!

This is Shelly from My Paper Love stopping by the blog to share another project using this months spotlight color Totally Kraft Trendy Twine.  If you recall, I made a fun project using TT seed packets HERE. I thought I would make a larger card to go with the set.
Here they are together.

For the card, I used some of the same pattern paper as the seed packet/envelope and some coordinating patterns too. I outlined the card in  Totally Kraft Trendy Twine which I just love how it turned out. the color goes so nicely with the Kraft paper.

Be sure to stop back to see more fun projects, we'll be sharing inspiration all month!

Trendy Baker's Twine - Halloween Peat Pot Gift Giving

Hello and Happy Friday!

I'm back as the Guest Designer for Trendy Twine!!
This is my last post! I've enjoyed my time
here on the Trendy Twine blog again and I hope I have brought some inspiration
for you to make some creations with your Trendy Twine!

Since it's my last post I thought I would share a Halloween Gifting Treat that incorporates this months featured Kraft Mini Seed Packets.

I started with some little peat pots and painted them up in pumpkin orange using Rit dye.  I than added pretty black lace to the bottom and top.
My next step was to make a fluffy layered bow which I added a 4 layered Totally Kraft Trendy Twine bow to the top which I anchored with a fancy button and greeting tag onto which I added to a gathering of tulle on the side of the pot.
Next I started having fun layering some diecuts and images onto gold and orange tulle and add dimension adhesive for a 3D effect. I created a double bow using Totally Kraft Trendy Twine embellished with a darling black jewel.
Now comes the fun part. Finding some goodies to place inside for your gift.  I decorated a Kraft Mini Seed Packets by stamping an image using VersaMark ink. I then used Totally Kraft Trendy Twine to trim the outside of the Mini Seed Packets.  I stamped a 31 in black ink and added a vintage image to complete the look.
This is the perfect size to fit most gift cards and makes an adorable way to give a Halloween Treat. Perhaps to those hardworking teachers or if you know someone who has a birthday around Halloween. It is something they can use year after year.
