Trendy Bakers Twine - Clown Treat!

Hi Trendy Fans,

This is Shelly with My Paper Love with a fun treat to share.  This month we are featuring Cherry Licorice twine. It's a festive twist of red and black. I happened to be going through my stamps and came across this super cute image, and I really wanted to use it for my project.

I found a circle tag and cut it using a high quality card stock. I stamped this little clown and then colored him using my copics and colored pencils.

I took this picture before I tied the tag onto the treat so you can see the treat packaging. I used short-candy-chutes from Annie's Paper Boutique. I filled them with some candy and some fun basket filler.

This is the last day for our spotlight color, be sure to check back on the blog for a new color tomorrow!
Have a nice day!

Trendy Bakers Twine -- Ready for Spring!

Hello everyone! I'm Helen from HTB Creations.  I'm showing you some cards I made a few weeks ago and haven't posted.  I used Totally White Trendy Twine on one and Limeade Trendy Twine on the other. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some pretty weather!  These cards make me think of the nice days that Spring can have and I'm dreaming of 😊

On this card I used the Unity Stamp Wreath Builder set and kept it simple.  Since you need a square piece of cardstock, I knew my Totally White Trendy Twine would be perfect for the bottom part of the card with a bow in the middle.

This card used Limeade Trendy Twine and Lemon Tart Sequins.  I love the yellow and green together and this paper had both.  So I used my Limeade Trendy Twine on the curve of the card stock and my Lemon Tart Sequins as accents.

Trendy Bakers Twine ~ Motorcycle Cards

Hello friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  Our featured twine for the month is Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine.  I decided to do something very different from the love theme that is generally present this month and made some masculine cards.
My first card uses our featured Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine wrapped around the background papers.  I stamped a motorcycle from Raisin Boat's Highway High stamp set in black then heat embossed it with clear powder for shine.  The sentiment was from the same set and was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with white powder.
I die cut around it with oval dies then popped that panel up with foam tape over the Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine.  Two square sequins from the Christmas Shaker Medley were attached in the top right corner using Glue Dots.
After making the red card, I had to make one with Orange Licorice Trendy Twine!  I love how the orange really pops against the black and grays. It was made in the same way as the red card except I used enamel dots to embellish instead of sequins.
Here you can see the shine of the embossing on the motorcycle.

Trendy Bakers Twine -- Much Love

Hello all!  I'm Helen from HTB Creations.  I'm sharing a card that could be a valentine, but it doesn't have to be!  I used Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine and two different sequin mixes from Annie's Paper Boutique.

The heart tree is from MFT stamps.  I thought it would be perfect for my Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine.  I made the red base, and the white top layer.  Then I wrapped my twine around the card and tied the bow at the tree base in the middle.

I then cut out a small tag and embossed my sentiment onto it.  Then I took a black sequin from the Lemon Midnight Sequin Mix and a red one from the Candy Cane Sequins.  It's good to own them all from the store so that I can mix and match LOL!

Keep checking back for more fun projects!

Trendy Bakers Twine - LOVE

Hi Trendy Fans!

This is Shelly with My Paper Love sharing a Valentines card for my love :) This month we are featuring Cherry Licorice twine. It's a festive twist of red and black. I just love these colors for Love day, but I also used it for Christmas as well. It's such a great twist!

I just started with a bunch of die cuts. I used a mat die cut and the letters are also a die cut. I just layered them to add a little highlight to the black letters. It makes the word pop just a bit more.

I made a sweet little twine heart using Cherry Licorice twine. I love how the twine looks on the heart.

Stop by the blog this month and see all the design projects using this gorgeous twine!

Have a nice day!

Annie's Paper Boutique~Valentines from Notecards

Hello friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here today.  I was in need of some Valentine's Day cards...and fast!  I was trying to decide what to make that would be cute and quick and came up with this idea.  I used S.W.A.K. 3x4 Printable Cards available at Annie's Paper Boutique.
I simply printed them off onto white cardstock and cut around them.  I chose coordinating solid colored cardstock for a shadow behind the printed panel and fun patterned paper from The Paper Studio's Best Day Ever paper pad for the background.  All layers were adhered with ATG.
On two of the cards, I stamped a Hugs & Kisses sentiment from APB You & Me Planner Stamps using Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink.  These were very quick to make for those of you who may be like me, scrambling to get those last minute cards in before the holiday :)  Be sure to check out all the printables at Annie's Paper Boutique!
Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Planner Friday - February

Hello!  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I am the resident planner girl here on the Trendy Twine blog.  I love to use my APB stamps to help me stay organised and to add a bit of fun to my planner pages too.  As next week is Valentine's day I have gone all out with a "romantic" theme full of hearts and things that go together perfectly so let me show you how I did it!

Products used: You & me planner stamps

The first thing I always do is to add washi tape wherever I can fit it in on my spread, usually along to top and bottom of the pages.  Then I pair that with a set of trendy page dots which reinforce the holes and protect my pages from tearing as well as adding a lovely splash of colour! I do this before I write or stamp anything so I know exactly how much space I have to work with.

Next it is time to get practical with the Check it offAt homeMore at home, and School days stamp sets!  I use the Check it off stamps to create my to do lists and then I use the other sets to add my reminders and things I need to complete like doing the recycling, paying bills and running errands.  They also cover things like events, appointments, assemblies and after school clubs.

If you want to just get organised you can stop here, you have made your plans and now you just need to work on finishing them but if you want your planner pages to look really pretty as well as being practical then there is one more stage left to do, decorate them!

Decorating with image stamps, washi and trendy page dots

I use my APB image stamps to create my designs and a few stickers here and there.  For this week I used the You & mePerfect pairs and We go together stamp sets to add sweet little couples that compliment each other like coffee and doughnuts and eggs and bacon.  Then I coloured them in to match my Valentine's Day theme using lots of pink!

Next week's plans

So this is how my week looks!

Do you like to decorate your planner, I'd love to know!

Amanda

Trendy Bakers Twine~Valentine Treat Bags

Hello friends!  Beth from Beth's Beauties here with you today.  Our featured twine for the month is Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine.  It is perfect for Valentine's Day treats and so much more!
I decorated Large Treat Sacks with toppers for today's project.  Starting with white cardstock folded in half, I stamped  APB You & Me Planner Stamps in red and black inks, making each topper different.  I then accented each topper with Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine, each in a unique way.
I wrapped the Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine around three times then added a bow.
This one has three bows glued to the centers of the arrows.
This final one simply has rows of Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine at angles.  I attached the toppers to the Large Treat Sacks with Linear Coverage Glue Dots.  Now these treats are ready for Valentine's Day!

Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Trendy Bakers Twine -- XO OX Treats

Hello everyone!  I'm Helen from HTB Creations.  It's finally February!  January really did seem like a very long month.  It didn't help that it rained a lot where I live.  This month, the Trendy Gals are showcasing Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine.  I also used Candy Cubes 2x2 Boxes and the Smile Stamp Set.

I have these cute buffalo plaid SVG files that I just got last week.  They go perfectly with our Cherry Licorice Trendy Twine!  The original plan was to just put them on the box, but I wanted them to pop.  So I wrapped a 1 1/2 inch piece of white card stock around the box after wrapping my Twine around the box a few times.

Next, I put foam tape on all the pieces.  Even the tiny heart.  It was thing pieces of tape! There's an XO and OX on each box.

To finish it off, I cut a small tag from a die I have and stamped the Smile from the Smile Stamp Set onto it and punched a hole.  Then I slipped it through one of the pieces of twine and finished it off with a box.  I also added a small red enamel dot that I just picked up this weekend.  I love craft shopping for February!

There's lots more fun to come this month so keep checking back! And check out these other fun places:
