Trendy Twine ~ Bacon and Eggs Card

Who doesn't love bacon and eggs?  Hello all, Beth from Beth's Beauties here.  This card was so much fun to make!  I started out with papers from DCWV's Good Eats stack and immediately knew I had to pair it with the adorable Perfect Pairs stamp set from Annie's Paper Boutique.
The plaid background paper was cut with GMD stitched rectangle die.  I added Cranberry and Lemon Tart Trendy Twines to the banners and homemade enamel dots in the top right corner.
For the "plate"  I used Cottage Cutz stitched circle dies and shaded around the layers with light brown ink for dimension.  I used my Hampton Art Stamp Perfect to position the stamps on the plate and stamped them with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  The images are from APB Perfect Pairs stamp set and the sentiment is from APB We Go Together stamp set.  I stamped a second set of images and colored them with colored pencils, added glossy accents to them and popped them up with foam tape.

Guest Designer Christine Drogt Part 2

Hello twine-lovers!

it's Christine from Create A Smile again.
As I told you in Friday's post I was invited by Trendy Twine to be guesting and I enjoy it a whole lot!. Here's part two of my little feature :)

The Idea behind my project:

One pretty obvious way to use twine is to hang something to it. So I decided to make some kind of garlands in a sky and hang some hearts and a birdhouse to them.

Light blue and red are such a fab combo and the wood-like chipboards add some nice neutrals (I painted one in red to see how it works, but that was just too much red.

Instructions:
  • Cut a panel of patterned paper in a light blue (I used the Feel Good Paper Pack)
  • Add some coulds with our two step "Clouds" stencils (I inked the first layer with white pigment ink and added some embossing paste for the second, patterned layer)
  • add the Cranberry Twine with Matte Medium
  • Adhere some Chipboards hearts
  • stamp, color and fuzzy cut the birdhouse from "your view" and attach it to one of the strings
  • Stamp the sentiment
  • Maybe add some wink of Stella to the clouds (I just couldn't resist ;) )

Tipps and Tricks:

  • Sometimes having a simple color scheme makes the card look more clean and uncluttered.
  • I think it pulls the card together if one color is the main color and the other one is just used to add some pops. That creates a nice balance.

Guest Designer: Christine Drogt from Create A Smile

Hi everyone,

this is Christine from Create A Smile :)
I am honored to be Guest Designing here today. I've been using Trendy Twine for quite a while because I loooove the quality and the colors (multicolored bakers twine - give me some more!) and fortunately Lesley Ann liked my projects - so I got an invitation to be guest - yay!

The Idea behind:

It's pretty simple: i wanted to show that the combo of Trendy Twine and Create A Smile products can be used for both: Fun and elegant cards. So I made two very different, yet simple cards :)

These are the two cards that I created:

1) Fun and cute:

2) Classy and elegant

Here's a close up so you can see the twine a little better:

Instructions/ Ideas:
  • use your trendy twine to put it on tags, add a backdrop underneath your focal point or to add some interest to a die cut pattern. Make it bold or go subtile :)
  • I think all the other steps are quite obvious: Stamp your image, color it, fuzzy cut it and assemble the cards ;)

Christmas Luminary

Good morning Trendy Twiners!  Beth from Beth's Beauties with a beautiful project that you could give as a gift or keep as a centerpiece throughout the Christmas season.
This luminary was created from the English Cottage kit at SVG Attic.  I used Holly Berry and Cranberry Trendy Twines on it.
Instead of using a paper bow on the wreath, I used twine!
The front view gives you an idea of how pretty it looks with the word "NOEL" spelled out in word art.
Here is a closeup of the "O" ornament to which I added the twine bow and stickles.
Last, but not least, here is what it looks like all lit up!  I used two electric LED candles in it.

Here are the links to the products I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:

Christmas Gift Bags

Hello there, this is Tammy and I have a couple Christmas Gift Bags to share with you.  I always need little gifts during the holidays, and I thought these would be cute. The bags and twine used come from Annie's Paper Boutique.  To create my project, I started with wrapping Cranberry Trendy Twine around each of my mini mason jar candle lids and tying a bow. I took a Small Candy Bag and added some kraft shreds to the bottom  before placing my candle inside.
I folded the top down of the bags and made a cute little treat topper. For a finishing touch, I added a bow to the center of the topper using our featured Cranberry Trendy Twine

All of these amazing products are available in the store along with many more, stop by to check it out.  Have a great day!

Back to School Layout

Hello, this is Sukie and I have a back to school themed layout to share.  All of the die cuts came from the Locker Talk cartridge.
I popped up the die cuts on foam dots and used some ink for added dimension.  I used three Trendy Twine colors:  In the Navy, Lemon Tart and Cranberry.  These are the perfect colors for those back to school projects.
The finishing touch on my project was a cute little paper clip with all three of the twine colors tied at the top.
Make sure to stop by the store to check out these fun twine colors and lots of other crafty products!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
