Planner Friday - August

Okay, I know it is still August but I always plan ahead so in my mind we're already part way through September.  I'm sorry if you are trying to squeeze out the last few days of summer because I am totally ready for autumn!  Cooler days, warm drinks, sweaters and boots, bring it on!  I wanted to record my joy for the impending season so I have broken out my APB stamps and Travellers Notebook.

I think spring and autumn are my favourite seasons because they are the ones you can easily see nature changing around you.  As much as I love to see the first shoots of green in spring, spotting the leaves changing colours and feeling a little chill in the air always makes me so happy!

If you feel the same way then Hello Fall is the perfect stamp set for you (and if you're quick you can grab them while they are on sale!).  I had so much fun creating this spread and colouring in the cute fall images.  There is also a Thankful stamp in the set so I decided to write a list of what I am thankful for.  I've never tried a pumpkin spiced latte but I am addicted to black cherry hot chocolate, there's nothing nicer than your favourite hot drink on a cold day so I used the takeaway coffee stamp from the Drinks & More set to represent this.  I also love spending time with my family and friends in autumn when the weather is cooler but you can still enjoy being outdoors, I used a few of the Documenting The Everyday #2 stamps for this.

My September spread -  Hello fall!

So, are you ready for autumn or are you desperate to spend some more time in the sun, eating ice creams and having water fights?

Don't forget to stop by the store and check out the supplies if you want to record the last days of your summer or celebrate the start of autumn!

See you again next month!

Planner Friday - February

Hi!  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I'm here on the Trendy Twine blog for another Planner Friday!  This month I want to show you how I created a bullet journal style layout in my Travellers Notebook using some fun stamps from Annie's Paper Boutique.

I have seen so many bullet journal ideas recently and really wanted to give some of them a go BUT I'm not great when it comes to doing fancy writing and fab little doodles so instead of doing everything with pen and by hand I decided to use my APB stamp sets instead!

Pocket Calendar (currently out of stock)

I wanted to do an overview spread for March including my goals for the month and to help me keep track of any important dates or tasks.  I used the Check It Off set to make these lists and a pocket calendar glued onto my page so I could see the whole month at a glace.  I have left myself a space to record any special memories during the month with a journaling tag and a couple of stamps from the Documenting the Everyday set as well.  To me March is all about those first few days of spring when we finally get a little sunshine but here in the UK there is also just as much chance it will snow or be incredibly wet so I used the How's the Weather stamps for a touch of decoration.  Depending on the weather there are a couple of ways I like to relax and recharge, in the spring sunshine I'm happy with a cup of coffee and some cake and during March showers you'll find me curled up with a good book and a mug of tea, I added this info to my pages using image stamps from the Perfect Pairs and Drinks & More stamp sets.  Then I had fun colouring in everything in with my fineliner pens and colouring pencils!

My monthly bullet journal style layout

Do you fancy creating your own bullet journal style pages?  Why don't you pop over to the store and check out all the lovely planning essentials?

I'll be back next month with more planner inspiration, I hope to see you then!

Planner Friday - January

Hello!  Welcome to the first Planner Friday of 2017!  As it is the start of a new year I wanted to write a back to basics post for all the people who have a new planner and don't know where to begin when it comes to decorating their pages.

No matter what kind of planner you are using, Erin Condron's LifePlanner, Happy Planner, Travelers Notebook or a ring bound organiser like Filofax and Kikki K there are a few Annie's Paper Boutique essentials you will need.

I always start with adding a couple strips of washi tape to the top and bottom of my pages.  I then choose some coordinating Trendy Page Dots for an extra pop of colour!  I usually know how busy my week is going to be when I start planning it so I know where I can add a few stickers and leave myself enough space to write.  If you aren't sure then you could add decorative stickers after you have filled in your notes, reminders and to dos.

Planning my week

Next I use my Check It Off stamps to print my check boxes.  If you haven't used stamps before my advice is to not overload the stamp with ink and don't press down too hard, you need to apply firm and even pressure to get the best image.  You might want to do a few practice stamps on some scrap paper before you print on your pages so you know which technique gives you a good, clean image.

Stamping

I have a few blank heading boxes on my inserts so I use the Title It set of stamps to label these sections.  This week I made them Shopping, Reminders, Thoughts and Finances but the set is so versatile I could use them for meal planning, brain dump, errands and lots more!

There are a couple of stamp sets I use for my reminders and to dos each week, they are At Home and More At Home, between these two I almost have a stamp for everything I would need to put in my planner!  Bill paying, cleaning, cooking, planning, gardening and laundry are all covered.  If you are at school or have children at school like me then the other stamps I recommend are the School Days set, these have reminders for homework, picture day, library, clubs, concerts, tests, carpool, football, baseball etc, it really has a good collection of school related activities!

Finally for anything else that I don't have a stamp for I use my trusty pen!

My week so far

As a finishing touch I like to use a cute paper clip like this coffee cup one, I think they add a touch of fun to my pages!  You can find some lovely clips here, I was going to tell you which was my favourite but I can't decide!

I hope this has inspired you to try decorating your own pages, if you would like some more ideas then check out these previous Planner Friday posts and don't forget to stop by the store and take a peek at all the supplies!

See you again next month!

Planner Friday - December

I'm so excited, can you believe there are only two days left until Christmas?  I'm on the blog today to share with you the planner pages I created using some fun festive stamps from Annie's Paper Boutique!

My Christmas week

Being Christmas week I don't have a lot of appointments or commitments to write down so I had some extra space to play with when I started decorating the pages.  I used three sets of Christmas stamps to add some pretty reminders and these will also be great for when I document our holiday in my journal.

I absolutely love the New Christmas PJs stamp I have used on the 24th December as that is a tradition my mum started with me when I was little and I have carried it on with my children now too.  The Waiting for Santa stamp is a lot of fun as well, every Christmas Eve I take a photo of my three sitting on the sofa dressed in their new pyjamas and full of excitement and then we put our coats on, go outside and search the skies for signs of Santa's sleigh!

Naughty & Nice!

Pairing the But, Santa! journaling tag with the I've been Naughty & Nice! stamp made me giggle so I added a couple of strips of washi tape, punched some holes and turned it into a cute page marker.

So that's my last post for 2016! If you want to pretty up your planner in 2017 pop over to the store and take a look at all the lovely planning supplies and stamps, you should find everything you need to get you started.

I wish you happy holidays and hope to see you again next year!

Planner Friday - Documenting the Everyday stamp sets

Hello!  I am back today to share with you a couple of new stamp sets from Annie's Paper Boutique.  The Documenting the Everyday sets are perfect for journaling, I used them recently to record my holiday memories and I want to show you how some of those pages turned out.

Products:

I love the look of combining different fonts together to make my writing more interesting but to be honest the only two I can do properly are print and cursive!  That is why I love these stamp sets, they have so many fun fonts and doodles and using them really makes my pages come alive!

Pages in my Travellers Notebook

I used the quote stamps as headings and added little notes about our week away, I also used the arrow stamps when I had more than one memory to record.  I think it looks a lot more interesting than if I had just written everything down without them.

More memories

My favourite day of the holiday was spending time at Woolacombe beach, it really is beautiful there.  I used the stamps to document this day too and one of the camera paper clips to mark the page so I can easily see which ones have photos on.

Do you journal?  APB has lots of fun supplies to help you document your life, why don't you stop by and take a look?

See you again next month!

Planner Friday - July

Hello!  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I'm here for another Planner Friday!  I love to create pretty and practical planner pages using products from Annie's Paper Boutique, they help keep me organised and have some fun while I do it too!

Products used:
Ink

My pages are usually pretty full when my children are at school, there always seems to be a club, assembly or performance going on that I need to write down!  Now it is finally the summer holiday here in the UK I have quite a lot of empty space to play with so I decided to break out my journaling stamps again.  I haven't used them for a while and I thought it would be nice to record how I am feeling each day.

Journaling stamps

Between them the Feeling Funny and Feeling Happy sets have over 60 different stamps to choose from so it is quite easy to find one that covers how you are feeling.  Also recording my mood in my planner makes me more mindful of negative emotions, knowing I am using one word to sum up my day gives me a little push towards staying positive.  On Tuesday I started off the day feeling lazy (and yes, there is a stamp for that!) but instead I gave my head a shake and decided I would get things done so my word for the day ended up being "Determined" as I ploughed my way through my tasks!

My week so far...

Thank you so much for joining me for another Planner Friday!  If you are feeling inspired to get organised why not stop by the store and check out the planning supplies?  I hope to see you again next month!

Planner Friday - May

Can you believe Planner Friday has come around again already?  It feels like I was only just here with you sharing my ideas for pretty and practical planner pages and now I am back again!

My week before the ink

When I decorate my pages I usually leave myself plenty of space for my to do lists, reminders and notes, especially if I am not sure how busy my week is going to be.  If I have any blank spaces left once the week is part way through and I have a better idea of how much room I need, then I fill them in with either stamps, stickers or doodles.

Ink

Tea cups!

My theme for this week was the Mad Hatter's tea party so I used a couple of stamp sets that had cute cups in them for some added decoration.  I liked pairing the smaller cups from the Need Coffee set with the larger ones from the Drinks & More set, they remind me of mismatched tableware which is how I imagine the Hatter's table would have been laid.

All filled in

If you want to get creative with your planner pages then Annie's Paper Boutique has everything you need to get started, why not take a look now and see what takes your fancy?

I will be back next month with a new set of stamps to show you, I hope I'll see you then!

Planner Friday - April

Hi! Welcome to another Planner Friday! I'm Amanda from She's Eclectic and I am here again to share with you how I use Annie's Paper Boutique products to help keep me organised.

I have always loved using a planner, over the years I have tried lots of different types and styles before I finally settled into my planning rhythm and found my groove. I found that sometimes I got bored with regular diaries and organisers which meant I didn't use them every day but then I stumbled up on the planner community and saw people who decorated their pages and made them fun too. I started off with a couple of rolls of washi tape and some pretty stickers and I have been decorating my planner pages ever since!

Products used: At Home Stamp Set

I really enjoy using stamps in my organiser, I like how they look and they make my to do lists and reminders easy to read. Using stamps also saves me time, I used to hate having to write the same reminders in my organiser each week but now I can just stamp them in quickly and it is done!

As well as the practical stamps I use each week (At HomeSchool Days and Check It Off sets) I like to use some fun stamps too. I think the Weekend Banner is great for highlighting my weekend and I love bunting, it always looks so celebratory and makes me feel happy.

Because I decorate my planner I find I check my pages more often than I did before and this helps me stay on top of things.  I have my reminders and to do's split into daily, manageable lists and breaking everything down into steps makes them easier for me to complete. I also enjoy checking things off when they are done with a little flourish, it is very satisfying!

My week so far

I you want to check out the whole range of Planner Stamps from Annie's Paper Boutique you can find them all here.  I am sure you will find the perfect set for you!

I hope I will see you again next month for another Planner Friday!

Planner Friday - March

Hello!  Welcome to Planner Friday, I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I am here on the Trendy Twine blog one Friday a month to share my planner pages with you.

I have been using the Trendy Page Dots circle reinforcements for nearly two years now, I just love the pop of colour they add to my pages and the extra reinforcement is great.  When you peel the circle off the sticker sheet you are left with the small centre of the page dot and I have been keeping these "just in case" I could come up with a use for them.  I hate to waste things so I have quite a collection of these little stickers now. Anyway I made a mistake when I was decorating my pages, I was so excited for Easter I got out my washi tape, stamps and stickers and did the layout you can see here but then I realised I had put them on the wrong week!  I didn't want to waste the products I had used and I didn't fancy stamping everything onto the correct week again and then I had an idea...... I used the leftover centres of the Trendy Page Dots I had been hoarding and stuck them over the dates!  Then I wrote the right dates for this Easter week on top of them and voila my problem was solved!

My week so far

I use Annie's Paper Boutique products on my planner pages every week, not just for Planner Fridays so if you would like some more inspiration and ideas for decorating your pages or getting organised check out these posts and stop by the store to find all the amazing goodies!

I want to wish you a happy Easter now and I hope to see you again for another Planner Friday next month!

Planner Friday - January

Hello!  Happy new year!  Welcome to the first Planner Friday of 2016,  I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I'm the planner gal here on the Trendy Twine blog.  I have been using planner stamps and lots of other goodies from Annie's Paper Boutique for nearly two years now and they have really helped me stay organised and be a little creative too.  I know that I would get myself into a muddle if I didn't use a diary of some kind and as I check mine regularly I like to have some fun decorating my pages and inject some colour into my days!

I find January quite a hard month to get through, I get so excited for Christmas in December and then wet, grey January rears it's head and spoils everything!  I have been using a lot of pink in my planner to cheer myself up and to be honest I am still drinking festive coffees to keep a little Christmas happiness alive inside me... gingerbread latte anyone?  Peppermint hot chocolate?  So inspired by my caffeine addiction I decided to use the Need Coffee! Planner Stamp Set to decorate my pages this week.

The set includes five super cute coffee style illustrations and then a collection of different coffee quotes and hashtags to make you smile or give you a giggle.  The stamps in this set are smaller than the ones in the Drinks & More set I have used before so they don't take up much room.  They fit easily inside the Erin Condren and Happy Planner boxes as well as on my Filofax pages, I think they are perfect for most types of planners.

My week so far

Did you get a new planner for Christmas or have you decided to get organised this year?  If you feel inspired to try your had at decorating your pages or giving planner stamps a go why not check out the store and see if anything takes your fancy?

I hope to see you again in February!

Planner Friday - December

It's here, it's finally December and I can let all my festive spirit out!  I absolutely love this time of year and I reflect that in my planner pages.  I have a million and one things to do in preparation of the big day but I don't feel stressed because I have a to do list (or three!) to help me stay on track!

The Check It Off Planner Stamp Set is perfect for creating your own to do lists.  As well as my regular weekly to do items which I list on my diary pages I also use this set to make larger lists and plans.  I like that there is an assortment of different style check it boxes instead of just being circles or squares, I think the hearts and star stamps are really fun but still practical!  I love the satisfied feeling I get when I tick something off my list and know that I have one less thing to complete or remember!

There are also some different banner stamps in the set which I like to use for highlighting important dates or reminders on my pages, they can be used as decorative stamps too.

My week so far

This is my first Christmas themed week in my planner, I went with traditional colours and added some glitter too because if ever there was a season for a bit of sparkle it is this one!

If you need to get on top of your festive planning then stop by the store now and treat your self to some supplies!

I'll be back in January so I will wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year now and I hope to see you again in 2016!

Planner Friday - November

Hello!  Welcome to another Planner Friday where I share my ideas for prettying up your planner pages.  I love to get creative with my weekly layout and make staying organised a bit more fun.  This week I got to play with a brand new set of cute Fall/Autumn themed stamps that I have had my eye on for a little while!

Washi Tape
Ink

The Hello Fall stamp set contains four image stamps, an acorn, two kinds of leaves and a pumpkin all with sweet little smiling faces.  The set also has eleven words and sayings stamps like Give Thanks, Hello, Fall, Autumn and Blessed written in a lovely script font.  I used all of the images to decorate my pages this week and coloured them in with browns and oranges, my favourite Autumn colour combination!  I think they look really pretty!

My week so far

I used a banner style stamp from the Check It Off Planner Stamp Set to highlight today's date, not only is today Planner Friday it is also my son's birthday so a very special date in my diary!  I am going to go and grab myself a piece of birthday cake and a coffee, why don't you find yourself a nice treat and go and browse the store for some fun planner goodies?  It might take your mind off the fact today is Friday 13th!

See you again next month!

Planner Friday - October

Hello!  I seriously can't believe that it is October already, it is like the year sped up once we hit September!  Anyway I have a jam packed post for you today so lets get started.  First off I want to show you my pages for this week, October tends to be wet and grey here in the UK so I wanted to do a theme that reflected that but I also wanted to inject a bit of colour too to brighten my day.

Planning my week

I used the weather stamps for decoration and lightly coloured the clouds and rain drops in.  I love how cute they look with their little smiley faces!  As usual I used the At Home and School Days sets to stamp in my reminders and to do lists and the Check It Off set for my check boxes and highlighting important dates like today.

Making my own inserts

I also wanted to show you some inserts I have made using the Title It Planner Stamp Set and some washi tape.  This set has a large range of stamps that you can use for meal planning, diet tracking, thoughts, notes, schedules, finances and lots more!  You could use this set to make your own planner in a cute notebook or to personalise your current planner with sections that would work well for you.  They are really versatile!

Halloween!

As it is October I have been getting very excited for Halloween so I wanted to give you a little peek at my pages for that week.  I used the Spooktacular Halloween Set of Trendy Page Dot reinforcements, aren't they fun?  Halloween is one of my favourite holidays and it falls during a school holiday so I get to spend lots of time at home with my three monsters watching Scooby Doo and eating sweets!

 week so far

So this is how my week is shaping up, the cheerful inks and washi tapes have gotten me through days full of dark skies and pouring rain, I am starting to wish I owned a pair of wellies too!

If you fancy getting creative with your planner pop over to the store and check out all the goodies available and I will see you again next month for another Planner Friday!
