Planner Friday - Halloween special

Hi!  I'm Amanda from She's Eclectic and I'm the resident planner girl here on the Trendy Twine blog.  If, like me, you're a fan of paper planning then you will love the range of stamps Annie's Paper Boutique have created over the years!  There are practical everyday sets, school life stamps, journalling and scrapbooking kits, special occasion and holiday sets and some really cute image stamps too.

As it is almost Halloween I wanted to show you my spooky themed week I have created using some APB stamps!

If I can, I like to pair my pages's theme with a matching set of Trendy Page Dots reinforcements as they strengthen the paper around the holes and add an extra pop of colour to my spread.  For Halloween I had these awesome skull and pumpkin designs to work with!

Halloween Trendy Page Dots

As usual I started my decoration by adding strips of washi tape to the top and bottom of my pages, followed by the Trendy Page Dots.

I have daily to do lists and reminders so I used the Check It Off set to print some tick boxes (or circles in this case!) and then added what I need to do and remember with the At Home and More At Home stamps.  Anything I don't have a stamp for I fill in with a pen.

Any space I have left over afterwards I use for fun!

My Halloween themed week

I used the quote stamps from my Happy Halloween set on a few of the days and highlighted Saturday and Sunday with a Weekend banner.  For the pumpkins, candy and treats I used stamps from the Hello FallFoodies and Drinks & More sets and then coloured them in once the ink was dry.

The Happy Halloween stamps are on sale right now and you can find some more inspiration for how to use them here on the blog, why don't you take a peek now while you are here?

Happy Halloween and see you again soon for another Planner Friday!

Planner Friday - October

Hello!  I seriously can't believe that it is October already, it is like the year sped up once we hit September!  Anyway I have a jam packed post for you today so lets get started.  First off I want to show you my pages for this week, October tends to be wet and grey here in the UK so I wanted to do a theme that reflected that but I also wanted to inject a bit of colour too to brighten my day.

Planning my week

I used the weather stamps for decoration and lightly coloured the clouds and rain drops in.  I love how cute they look with their little smiley faces!  As usual I used the At Home and School Days sets to stamp in my reminders and to do lists and the Check It Off set for my check boxes and highlighting important dates like today.

Making my own inserts

I also wanted to show you some inserts I have made using the Title It Planner Stamp Set and some washi tape.  This set has a large range of stamps that you can use for meal planning, diet tracking, thoughts, notes, schedules, finances and lots more!  You could use this set to make your own planner in a cute notebook or to personalise your current planner with sections that would work well for you.  They are really versatile!

Halloween!

As it is October I have been getting very excited for Halloween so I wanted to give you a little peek at my pages for that week.  I used the Spooktacular Halloween Set of Trendy Page Dot reinforcements, aren't they fun?  Halloween is one of my favourite holidays and it falls during a school holiday so I get to spend lots of time at home with my three monsters watching Scooby Doo and eating sweets!

 week so far

So this is how my week is shaping up, the cheerful inks and washi tapes have gotten me through days full of dark skies and pouring rain, I am starting to wish I owned a pair of wellies too!

If you fancy getting creative with your planner pop over to the store and check out all the goodies available and I will see you again next month for another Planner Friday!

Planner Friday - October

Hello, I am Amanda from She's Eclectic and I write a monthly Planner Friday post here on Twine it up with Trendy Twine.  I think that prettying up your planner pages makes it easier to stay organised.  If my pages were plain I wouldn't refer to my Filofax as often during the day and then I would forget things and get myself in a muddle!

I went with a cupcake theme this week, you can see the products I used in the photo below.  A couple of strips of washi tape and some Trendy Page Dot reinforcements and my diary pages are much more colourful and fun!

I have recently started using the School Days Planner Stamp Set, it is incredibly handy now I have two children in school and one in nursery/preschool!  The school year only started three weeks ago here in the UK but I have already had lots of events going on at the school.  There are also lots of after school clubs and activities going on that I need to remember, I have one child who has joined the school choir and football team and another who has joined the chess club and the school play.  Thankfully the one in nursery wont be joining any clubs for another year or two but either way this stamp set will keep me organised!

School Days stamps in action

I don't have any cupcake stickers that would match the colours of the Trendy Page Dots and washi tape I have used this week so I am just drawing some, copying the ones on the tape.  They're not perfect but at least they all go together well!

My week so far

I couldn't write an October post without showing you what I have planned for my Halloween week at the end of the month.  I love these Spooktacular Trendy Page Dot reinforcements and I used some Trendy Twine to make the bunting too.

Used but not pictured At Home Planner Stamp Set

I haven't used the School Days stamps on this week because it will be half term so the school is closed.  If it isn't a super busy week then I will have lots more room to decorate the pages.  I just don't know how much I will have on until nearer the time but without all the school reminders I should be able to fit in some more spooky bits and pieces!

If you want to see how the Halloween week looked when it was all filled in let me know in the comments and I will show you in my next Planner Friday post.  If you fancy decorating your planner for Halloween then stop by the store and see all the scarily good things on offer!

See you next month!
