Cards With Twine by Danielle Flanders

Hi there! This is Danielle Flanders here today on the Trendy Twine blog with a couple of quick and easy things you can do with your twine! There are so many different ways you can create with layers in your scrapbooking and card making, and twine is a simple way to add another layer of interest without a lot of bulk. Today I'm using the Original 6 Mini Pack of twine.

On my first card, the first thing I did to create it was to adhere two die cuts from London Market Ephemera (post card and flowers) by Pink Paislee. Next, I stamped the postage stamp with red ink onto pink patterned paper from the London Market 6x6 Paper Pack and cut it out. I adhered it, then stamped the black postage mark over the top. The black frame is another Ephemera piece also that I folded in half over the top of the card! (It was actually placed there to cover up a stamping mistake!)
I wrapped the Strawberry Cupcake twine around the card top before adhering to the card base and used the twine to tie on a Wooden Spool Button by Pink Paislee. You can use twine for SO many things! To tie on buttons, wrap around cards, make mini banners with and so much more.
On the second card, the Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine is used here to create butterfly antennas - just wrapped it around the butterfly and tied, leaving two tails for the antennas.
I also stitched around the die cut with Twisted Lime twine to add dimension and interest to a plain 'old die cut. :) (Oops, I see that one antennae is falling down in my pic.)

Candy Bar Slider

HI Everyone !!! Its Michelle from Scrappin with my bug !! I was so excited to be asked to be a guest designer today..... but before I could guest design Lesley asked me be to a full time designer! So I'm totally excited! I ♥ twine.....and I absolutely ♥ the color combos she comes up with!!!

I wanted to make you something for Christmas today! So I made a reindeer candy bar slider!!! I actually made a ton of these as gifts! For some I taped a gift card to the candy bar!!!

For the nose I just used Scotch glue which dries clear and used some Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine. I started at the outside and just swirled it until I got in the middle. Then I used some clear accents for on top of the twine around the edge of the nose and sprinkled course glitter on it!

For the antlers I wanted it to be festive so I used the new Holly Berry twine and weaved in through the antlers and added some cute lights !!!
SOOOO are you now ready for a giveaway??????

Trendy Twine is giving away a original sample pack to one lucky follower !!!!

All you need to do is become a follower on this blog, along with a comment and a way to contact you!

Christmas Ornament Ball

Hello Trendy Twine fans! There's a new crafter in town! Kasi from 19Eighty Expressions here posting my very first Trendy Twine design team project! Well, technically I am a *guest designer* but I'll be legit starting January 1st!

I decided to make something a little different than I normally make, ornaments made out of twine! Oh yea, you can make some pretty stuff with twine!

I made some in traditional colors.....

Peppermint Stick Twine

And some in not-so-traditional colors....

Blueberry Twine

Blue Berry Twine

I was thinking of glittering up these babies but decided against it since it may hide the pretty twine and unfortunately I didn't think to adorn these with pretty buttons or other embellishments until after I took these pictures (you know how time-consuming that is!) so here they are in all their naked glory.  I think adorned or not they are super cute.

Head to my blog for details on how I made these adorable twine Christmas ornaments.

Trendy Twine Tuesday: Decorated tin

Hi everyone, Bee here for my Trendy Twine Tuesday... and this time I made a little tin for my sweet friend Bee and used Trendy Twine in place of ribbon to cover the sides of the tin. The paper is from the Country Drive collection by Echo Park.

Sorry for the pictures' overload but I want to show you from every angle... ;-)

I used Peppermint Stick Trendy Twine for the lid, and Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine for the bottom.

I love the sort of "rustic" look, and I think it feels wonderful also when you hold the tin in your hand.
I used Terrifically Tacky Tape to hold the twine in place and it was really easy and this twine ain't going anywhere. ;-)

I covered the inside with more paper, and put little crafting goodies in mini zip bags that I decorated with mini twine bows....

And to finish it off, I wrapped it up like a big candy... :-)

I can't wait to make another one!... ;-)
