Hello all! Beth from Beth's Beauties here today. We are in the first week of spring and I cannot wait to see things start to green up soon! Green is the color of the month, with us featuring Twisted Lime Trendy Twine. For today's project, I made a wedding card in greens and grays which was definitely a first for me, but I am happy with how it turned out!
First of all, I needed to make the heart out of Twisted Lime Trendy Twine. I cut 3 lengths of the twine and saturated it with fabric starch, shaped the heart how I wanted it and let it completely dry. The background of the card was created with DCWV Happy Day papers and GMD Triple Layer Background dies, glued together with Bearly Art precision tip glue. The Trendy Twine heart was glued down next, then the stamped panel was popped up with foam tape. To create the stamped panel, I used retired Raisin Boat stamp sets called Springtime Love and True Love with Scrapbook.com inks in Charcoal and Succulent and cut them out with my Brother Scan N Cut. The wedding rings were punched out of silver metallic paper using a 1/2" punch and then centered that within a 3/4" punch and they were simply glued on the sentiment panel. To add a bit of sparkle, I glued a trio of Twisted Lime Sequins to the background. Here's what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique:
You can also find Twisted Lime in the Going Green Sampler. Samplers are a great way to add to your Trendy Twine collection. Each color in the set is ten yards in length and is wound on a wooden clothespin for easy use and storage.
I hope you have a wonderfully crafty day!
So pretty Beth, I love your creativity with twine! It's so inspirational.
