Construction Party Fun!

Hello Trendy Twiners!
It's Yvonne, from One Creative Momma, here to share with you another Trendy Twine project. As you know I have been very busy planning my son's Construction party. A couple weeks ago I shared the party favors with you but here's another idea I had for using Trendy Twine.

Simple but cute utensils for all the guests!
I wrapped yellow and white forks, spoons and knives in black and orange napkins and tied Bumblebee & Halloween Trendy Twine around them with a "DIG IN" tag.

These were the guests "TOOLS" for the Build your own Burger and Build your own Sundae menu.

To find out more about this project and see pictures from the party please stop by my blog HERE.

Don't forget to stop by the Trendy Twine Shop HERE and get some of this wonderful Twine!!!

Twine Tic Tac Toe Valentine card

twine tictactoe (2)Hello again.  It's Becki from Happy Card Factory and this is my last time this month as a guest designer for Trendy Twine! It was much fun and I enjoy Lesley and the ladies. I am not joking when I say they are craaaaaazy.  That's OK because I love them and their twiney creations. I feel right at home.
I didn't leave any needles sticking out of this creation, but almost added a wooden stake. I was going to use it for an arrow. It just took up too much room and looked very busy, so I decided no pointy things on this card. I need to be less dangerous in my crafting.
twine tictactoe (3)Cherry CupcakeGrey Licorice, and Twisted Teal were the twines of choice on this card. I love how teal and red go together in some of the Christmas decor, chances are it will look good for my Xs and Os, right? My grid is a off a tad bit, isn't that the great thing about homemade? Imperfection says I love you. At least that is what I tell the recipients of my creations. hehe
twine tictactoe (1)I topped my card off with a sentiment from A Jillian Vance Design. It is from a retired set that the name escapes me now. I thought the xoxo would look good with the tic tac toe board. What do you think? Let me know in the comments. I also want to thank Lesley for allowing me to guest design for my favorite twine company. You are the best!
Don’t worry there's still time to craft those Xs and Os! Annie’s Paper Boutique {home of Trendy Twine} has lots and lots of goodies for your Valentine crafting. Make sure you stop by the store even if you aren’t in the market for more twine.

Stitched I Love U Valentine by Guest Designer Becki

stitched i love u (1)
Hello again, it's me Becki from the Happy Card Factory, the really old DT member. haha I am so happy to be this month's guest designer for Trendy Twine! I can't tell you what a joy it is to design for Lesley again as it was one of my favorite teams to be on. With great excitement I said yes when she asked me to throw together a couple of projects this month. Lesley may have just needed to fill a spot, but I am thrilled none the less. ;) I hope she is pleased with my stitched i love u valentine card.

There are many uses for twine, but most are secondary, in the background type as package or bouquet wrap. I really wanted to have Trendy stand on it's own. Twine just says love and Valentine to me for some reason. Glad I got asked to design for January so I could use Cherry Cupcake. It is one of my favorites since red is my color. The pink just makes it extra scrumptious.  With this twist, depending on the other colors you pair it with it could be bold or soft.

To accomplish this card, all you need to do is lightly sketch your sentiment and take a needle and poke holes every couple of centimeters over craft foam. Thread said needle and back stitch with the twine.  Yes, I left my needle on there and put just a touch of glue. I know most of you are not going to give your needle away. I just didn't have a stamp to use and didn't want to hand draw it. Those are definitely two better options than losing a needle.
Don't forget, Annie's Paper Boutique has lots and lots of goodies for your Valentine crafting. Make sure you stop by the store even if you aren't in the market for more twine. I know I often pick up her glassine bags and mini kraft tags even though you don't see them on my blog often. I have a tendency to become a hoarder with anything related to Trendy Twine.
Getting some goodies from the store? Great, show off your crafty side and enter this month's challenge. Details are all on the "current challenge" tab up at the top menu!

Just Chillin!

Good Morning Trendy Twiners!!
Jessica here from Chick-n-Scrap...
well I am supposed to be on "vacation" for this month but I wanted to pop in and share a project I made for the current Trendy Twine Challenge.
If you missed the challenge post you can check it out HERE
but just as a reminder the challenge is:
Let It Snow!
~Project must be a tag.
~Include a snowman,
~snowflakes,
and some Trendy Twine

So here are the cute snowman tags I created......
I love tags...all kinds, shapes and designs! They are easy to make and look great on gifts!
So for my tags I used some cute designer papers from Echo Park and My Minds Eyes that had snowflakes and those cute snowmen from Peachy Keen Stamps.

After paper piecing their hats and scarves I added these cute pom poms I made using a MUST HAVE Trendy Twine~ the Totally White!
I have to say that this Trendy Twine color is my go to for just about anything! They sure make cute earmuffs and pom poms for my snowmen.

Now that you saw my challenge project I hope you will join in!
