Mother's Day

I hope everyone had a super, wonderful Mother's Day.  I worked part of the day and then went to celebrate the special day with my Mom.  I bought her a couple of things, but decided to make a few things too.  I made something for both my Mom and Grandma.  Just wanted to share what I did.

I made Mom a memo holder from one of the sweet tins in the store.  I love the size of this one.  It can be used for all sorts of good stuff.  I used  my Sizzix to cut out a flower which I decorated with paper tape (I'm really loving that stuff!)  And then I decorated the tin window with the same tape.  Might be a little too much pink for some.  I'm a pink fanatic.  Used Chocolate Cupcake Trendy Twine and a button to finish off my flower.  I used Shabby Chic Stamp Co. Mother's Day stamps.  They have a ton of sweet sentiments.  I punched the tag with one of my EK Success punches and finished it off with my Valentine Cherry Cupcake Trendy Twine.

The small envelope is for a gift card that I purchased for Mom as well.

For the memo sheets, I printed the red lines first and then I used one of my Sizzix dies to cut out the cards.  These are about the size of a 3x5 index card, so they are nice and big.  I stamped "I'm so blessed to have you!" along the top and added a flower stamp at the bottom.

We both love Scentsy, so these were her "flowers."  I just stamped different sentiments on them (nothing fancy).

This next one is for my Grandmother.  I did her's in blue and green and used paper from my stash.  I also used more tape to frame the window and added lots of buttons -- all kinds of stuff to make it pretty.  I bought Hershey's Nuggets on the way to add to Gram's tin, so she would have something yummy inside.

These were so fun and easy to make.

Thanks for stopping by.
